Menstrual cup

Naturally Lady cups are safer: Because our menstrual cups collect rather than absorb blood, you’re not at risk of getting toxic shock syndrome (TSS), a rare bacterial infection associated with tampon use, and our cup is made of medical silicone grade, SGS Tested, BPA Free, Latex Free, FDA listed, super safe and easy to use.

Soft and Comfortable – Our menstrual cup is made with amazingly soft and flexible material, its like nothing inside when worn properly.

Choosing Your Size!

Choosing your size is very personal, and it is made of your experience with the use.
We would recommend that if you haven’t given birth yet, you should use the size S. However, if you have given birth or if your flow is really heavy, you should use our size L cup.

Size S – collect up to 20ml, ideal for under 30’s or if you haven’t given birth and have from light to medium flow.

Size L – collect up to 25ml, ideal for over 30’s or if you have given birth or have a heavy flow.

Our menstrual cup is designed to be safe for use for up to 12 hours without changing, however we recommends that you change withing a maximum of 8 hours if possible. For best use, we recommend emptying your menstrual cup every 4-6 hours depending on how heavy your flow is. To empty the cup you simply need to dispose of the blood, rinse the cup in water and then re-insert! Our menstrual cup is 100% safe to use overnight and is effective when standing up, laying down or sitting so there is no need to worry about any accidents! The cup is held in place by the pelvic floor muscles so therefore will not move around no matter what position you are in!

For best use, it would be better to empty it every 4 – 6 hours, rinse in water, and reinserted again.

You can use your menstrual overnight, it totally safe and does not matter if you up, laying down or sitting. The menstrual cup is held in place inside your vagina but the vaginal muscles and it will not be moving around.

Cleaning and Caring for Your Cup

Menstrual cup

We recommend you always sterilise your cup at the start and at the end of each cycle before storing it away inside the cotton bag we provide. Your cup should last for at least 10 years+

Please do not use harsh, scented chemicals to clean your cup as the silicone may deteriorate and can cause irritation to your skin.

Only use water to clean it, preferably sterilise it for a good clean.Ideally, you would have two or more cups for use during your period, as this would allow you to change and clean them before using again.
We recommend having two menstrual cups in order to ensure that they can be sterilised and cleaned thoroughly while on your period. We recommend using one cup during the day time and then sterilising in the evening, switching to the second cup to wear to bed. To sterilise your cup simply submerge it in boiling water and then rinse thoroughly.

Any questions, please just contact me, and I will be more than happy to assist.

Couldn’t ask for more, bought a few other products from Naturally Lady and they always surprise me with the quality and customer service.

Excellent product my favourite Lady product yet! Thank you, thank you!

Cups are so much better than tampons and pads! It does take time to learn how to insert it correctly so it doesn’t leak though, so please don’t feel discouraged if it does. Once you figure out how to do it , it will be taking no longer than inserting a tampon! And it only needs to be changed every 12 hours (unless you have a really heavy flow)!
Customer service is amazing, you can email them for a personal inserting tips if you have any troubles!
The cup itself is firm, but not as firm as for example Mooncup that I found to be uncomfortable due to it’s firmness. Lena cup is also firm enough to open up easily once inside unlike softer cups. So so far it has been the best cup for me!

I heard about these menstrual cup years ago but I never really get to try them.
Then I though I would give one of these cup a go and try it.
    I was very impressed, it’s
easy to use, I feel so much cleaner, there’s no odour and it’s easy to clean.
    I highly recommend it.

Previously used the Diva cup, but I switched to this because of the stem. I still had to trim some of the stem off because the cup sits lower in me and poked out uncomfortably. Since then, I haven’t had any discomfort. I’ve been using this cup for a little over a year and I love it. I will not go back to using tampons or sanitary napkins.

It took me a couple months before I could consistently insert the cup without worrying about leakage. So there is a slight learning curve. I prefer to remove/clean/re-insert while taking a shower, but in some cases I’ll pour it out over the toilet and clean with flushable wipes (I’ve long since run out of the cleaning wipes it came with) and re-insert in public stalls. This way can get a little messy, but it’s much less of a hassle and cheaper than tampons, in my opinion.

The cup arrived odorless, slightly firm around the lip and squishy at the cup area. This makes it easy to insert, and will pop open nicely once inside. A little trick I learned was to turn the cup by the stem after inserting to ensure it is sealed and no leakage will occur, even while sleeping (the instructions are pretty good and describing how to use the cup). My cycle lasts around 5 days, I usually need to clean the cup twice on the first day, my heaviest, but after I have used the cup for periods up to 16 hrs before removing and cleaning out.

Cleaning the cup after my periods and just prior to them, I will boil it in hot water for a couple minutes. This kept my cup from staining and left it nice and pink still. There was an instance where I was only able to clean with dish soap, and the stains have not come off since, even after boiling. I have also put this in the dishwasher with no problems.

I like the naturally lady cup a lot, I don’t see me buying another for several more years yet. I might buy an extra to keep around, just in case. I’ve recommended this to my friends and family. It’s safe, in my opinion (if you keep yourself clean) much more sanitary, and a much more cost effect way of managing my cycle. Also on the plus, I’ve noticed my cramps have not been as intense as they were while using tampons and I have NO SMELL like I would have if using just tampons or pads!

  7. Amanda

    It’s a life changer.
I wish I’d bought this before.
No leak, or problems despite of heavy flow, completely safe!
I luv this product and I am very please with my purchase.

  8. Suzie

I’m embarrassed that I didn’t use a menstrual cup decades ago!
It’s easy to use, and it’s honestly changed my periods for the better, I have nothing bad to say.
Just buy and try for yourself

This is my first cup. I have been using it since I got it few months ago and i couldn’t be happier. I wish i did that years ago. You do need to learn how to ‘open’ it properly . Its not as hard as you may think but it might take few times, but once you know how, it is so great, I only change it in the morning and before the bed time (and you should do it at the comfort of your own bathroom), the savings to the environment and your pocket are amazing. I highly recommend to give it a go.

For me ,these were easy to use and I don’t even use tampons. Not to mention, really comfortable. After awhile,I completely forgot these were even inside of me.When it comes to pulling these out ,you just simply pull on the tab slowly and out it comes. As long as you hold onto that tab,the cup will empty out into the toilet with hardly any mess.I do wear a liner for the just in case and so far, there really has been no just in case. They’re really easy to clean out .At first it did take me a bit to put these in correctly but once in,I no longer have to worry about pads, liners or even leaks. The little bag that comes with it is great for safe keeping of the cups.

The first period after giving birth to my second baby caught me by surprise. I had to wear a diaper to the store to get some emergency tampons. Before getting pregnant, I wore the (rhymes with biva) cup for about a year. The things I loved were how long you could go without changing it, and it saved a lot of waste. However, it wasn’t extremely comfortable and sometimes would leak. After a day or two of wearing tampons, while my flow slowed down, I remembered why I stopped wearing tampons the first time. They feel heavy, they move while inserted, and if you take one out too early your whole day is ruined. 2 days into my period I ordered the naturally lady cup. It is much more comfortable, and I haven’t had any leaks. If you are on the fence about menstural cups, go for it! One of the best lifestyle changes you can make.

I decided to give a different cup a go, mainly out of curiosity to see how different cups from different brands compared, and this one seemed a value option. I wasn’t sure which size to go for at first, but ended up going for a small as opposed to a large. At first I was concerned that this would make the cup less comfortable, but it actually turned out to be a big plus because it made the cup much easier to insert as it popped open really unlike my last one which struggled with sometimes. It made no difference to how it felt once in. Another plus which I wouldn’t have thought of before buying my first cup was the colour; I bought a clear silicone cup last time which I wouldn’t do again as after a few uses it stained. I bought the pink Wave cup which doesn’t look as if it’ll stain as easily.

For people that have never used a cup before, I’d say this is definitely a good starter cup as it opens up really easily. I would probably suggest trying the smaller cup first if you’ve never used one before. This did mean, however, that I was more than happy to leave my cup in for 12 hours, changing it only when I woke up and when I went to bed. It was never more than half full when I went to empty it, even on my heavier days.

Definitely go for it if you’ve never tried one before. Cups not only save your money and the environment, but also a lot of hassle, and this one works well.
